"How long does a sewer repair take" and "do you have to dig up my whole yard" are two of the most common questions we get — and the honest answer depends on whether a camera run turns up a spot problem or a full lateral failure. A camera inspection catches the difference before anyone touches a shovel, hydro jetting clears what a snake can't, and a full replacement gets cut in with Schedule 40 PVC and a proper clean-out.
Two of the jobs below are from West Tampa and Wesley Chapel — two very different plumbing profiles on opposite ends of our service area, one running decades-old clay and cast iron, the other newer construction that still clogs.
Complete Sewer Replacement — West Tampa. A full lateral swap for a West Tampa home, cut in with current-code PVC.
Sewer Replacement — St. Patrick Catholic School. Replacing failing clay and cast iron sewer line for a Tampa Bay school, timed around the campus schedule.
Drain Replacement, Orangeburg to PVC. Rehabbing a residential drain line that had aged out, the way a lot of pre-1970 lots eventually need.
Drain Jetting — Wesley Chapel. Clearing a residential drain line with hydro jetting instead of just punching a hole through the clog with a cable.
Start with sewer & drain camera inspection if you're not sure what's wrong, or go straight to sewer repair & installation or hydro jetting if you already know.
What A Camera Inspection Sometimes Finds
Most camera runs confirm what we already suspect. Every once in a while, one turns up a surprise — a previous repair that didn't hold, an unexpected transition between pipe materials, or a line that was never installed to code in the first place. That's exactly why we run a camera before quoting a fix instead of guessing from the surface.
What A Camera Run Can Turn Up. A look at a previous repair that didn't go according to plan, caught on camera before it became someone's emergency.
What A Whole-Home Repipe Actually Looks Like
Repeated pinhole leaks, rusty water, and pressure that's low everywhere — not just at one fixture — are the classic signs a house needs a full repipe, not another one-off patch. With Uponor PEX-A, it's measured in days, not weeks. This job was in Tampa Heights, one of the older pockets of the city where original supply lines are increasingly due for replacement.
Whole-Home Repipe — Tampa Heights. Fresh PEX-A supply lines going in on a full residential repipe, before the walls close back up.
Fixture, Disposal & Water Quality Upgrades
Not every job is an emergency. A shower valve that drips no matter how you turn it, a disposal that hums but won't spin, or water that leaves spots on every glass are all things we fix and upgrade on a planned schedule. Tampa Bay's water runs hard enough — 15–25 grains per gallon on Hillsborough's limestone aquifer, 180–250 mg/L in Pinellas — that a whole-home softener is a common ask, not a luxury.
Shower Valve Replacement — Tampa Heights. Swapping a worn valve for one that actually shuts off the way it's supposed to.
Garbage Disposal Installation. A properly sized replacement disposal, installed and tested before we leave.
Water Softener Install, Finished. A whole-home softener set up and running for a Tampa Bay household done fighting hard water.
Pipe Repair & Water Softener Install. A combined visit — a pipe repair handled in the same trip as a new softener install.
Commercial & Institutional Plumbing Jobs
Grease traps, backflow programs, and sewer lines at a school don't run on a residential timeline — they run around business hours, health-code inspections, and in the case of a school or care facility, the people still inside the building. This is commercial plumbing work most customers only see the invoice for, not the job itself.
Grease Trap Installation — Chick-fil-A. A large commercial install, sized and installed to keep a busy kitchen running to code.
Commercial Backflow Job. A larger-scale backflow preventer replacement for a commercial property.
Valve Leak Repair — Nursing Home. A leaking valve fixed at a care facility, where working around residents matters as much as the repair itself.
Emergency & Storm-Season Plumbing
A gas smell, a burst pipe under the house, or a storm drain that hasn't been checked since last hurricane season are all the kind of problem that can't wait for a slow response. Tampa Bay's rainy season and hurricane risk make storm drain maintenance a once-a-year task worth doing before the forecast forces the issue, not after.
Gas Leak Repair. A residential gas leak located and repaired by a licensed gas plumber.
Emergency Pipe Repair, Under the House. A fast fix on a failed line running beneath the home.
Storm Drain Maintenance — Hurricane Prep. A quick look at why storm drains deserve a check before the next named storm, not during it.
