Boyd, president of First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Tarpon Springs, noticed the name "Holiday Drive" and championed naming both a new bank branch and the growing community after it. That 1960s origin means Holiday’s earliest subdivisions are now over 60 years old. Population reached 24,939 at the 2020 census, up from 22,403 in 2010, median age 44.0 — one of the larger unincorporated communities in southern Pasco County.
